Rock N Roll hall of Fame Annex in NYC
WOW! Planeside has been Immortalized! When you attend the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Annex in NYC, one of the first things you do is watch a short film. As you walk into the screening room -Which has 6 screens projected on 3 sides around you on a brick wall, (the first shot is duplicated on all 6 screens). It is a blow up of a section of wall from CBGB's. One of the only things of color, and the one of the only legible things, is a yellow PLANESIDE sticker on the right hand side. It's blown up and is huge! I wouldn't believe it if i hadn't seen it myself! Every person that knows us who's been to the Annex has called or emailed. As if this wasn't cool enough, when you walk over the CBGB's Rocks exhibit - under the awning are several artifacts from the club. Sitting front and center is one small cocktail table. On top of that table sits a lone yellow sticker - PLANESIDE. Check it out the Annex before it's gone on Jan. 3, 2010. The Rock Hall Annex is located on Mercer St. in New York City.

PLANESIDE, the Lookies Rock Dragonfly Club
The Following is a blurb from PA.'s AfterDark Website by Pennlive.
New York's Planeside blends punk ferocity with a good old rock 'n' roll sound. So far the threesome has released two EP's and two full length albums. Their sound is sure to compliment The Lookies' hardcore rock quite nicely Saturday night Jan. 3rd at the Dragonfly (Spy) Club in Harrisburg. Five bucks gets you in the door.

HARD BALL - Fairfield Weekly
here's an article that appears in todays issue of The Fairfield Weekly in CT.
Planeside, a trio from Purchase, N.Y., has released a hearty output of songs about trying to relate to women, getting burned out on drugs and trying to relate to women who got burned out on drugs. The band recalls a time when grimy alt-rockers took themselves pretty seriously and weren't ashamed of it ˆ… and were also commercially palpable enough to be heard on, say, EPSN's sports video games, which is where a few of Planeside's more energetic odes ended up. The hard-touring group pulls into Cousin Larry's tonight, along with a surprise set by DEATHKILLER (members of Hatebreed, Most Precious Blood & the eventide). Sub Rosa Party, Cousin Larry's, 1 Elm St., Danbury. 9 p.m. $5, (203) 730-0035,

IRISH WAKE - Goodbye Green Room...
Last night Planeside was up waaaaay into the morning performing an unannounced, unrehearsed, unelectric and undignified set at the Green Room. Last Fri. Craig sat in With the Owner LOU (the Injections), for a very long set of rockabilly jamming. We've been spending some extra time at the bar because we've been harbouring a secret that we can now reveal. On Sept. 20th, the Green Room will be closing their doors after 10 years. Planeside has been playing the venue since 2000 (at the old loction). Kathy and Lou became big fans and made The Green Room a homebase for us. (Craig has even tended Bar there!). This is actually one of the few bars we all frequent and hang out at. We LOVE this place and are really going miss it. Please come down for the IRISH WAKE on Sept. 20, we'll be playing with the Problematics and one-off reunion of the Injections. Nights at the Green Room are ALWAYS something to talk about, this will definitely be special (and difficult...)

Hat City Entertainment EP Review
So we got another CD review in Danbury CT.'s JULY ecition of Hat city Entertainment newspaper. It's on Page 8 in INDY FLUX by Jimmy Mack and reads as follows:
Ah, Summer. It's time to kick back, enjoy the weather and make some memories, and every summer has a soundtrack those songs or albums that always remind you of whatever you did, and whoever you spent time with that particular year. And here we have a summer '08 memories with.
Planeside's Under the Circumstances It's Not Such A Bad Idea (Surreal Records) is a terrifically fun EP filled with killer hooks that will have you singing along with each and every song by the second time you listen to it. It's a fast paced manic record by the boys who brought you MILK in 2006. If you happened to miss that one, then shame on you. Planeside is an amazingly tight trio from NY who know how to bring the rock. Think Foo Fighters Meets The Bouncing Souls, and maybe you'll get an idea of this bands sound. This EP won't be found in stores, so go to bullmooserecords.com, CD Baby or itunes to get your copy before the summer is out.

NEW EP!!!
TODAY, Planeside releases 'Under the Circumstances, It's Not Such a Bad Idea,' the anticipated follow up to 'MILK' (2006). 'Under the Circumstances¬…' is a fine collection of 6 songs that you'll be singing along to with all of your little hearts.

Produced, recorded and mixed by Jonathan Wyman, the new EP is a showcase for the band's continuing effort at honing and developing their craft. The songs are tighter and the hooks are stronger than they've ever been. "We wanted to get in the studio and just have fun exploring the space," says singer/guitarist Dave Harris. "We let the songs dictate everything." This approach welcomed all kinds of instrumentation - even a guest vocal appearance by Rustic Overtones frontman, Dave Gutter.

Although 'Under the Circumstances¬…' is only available exclusively at all Bullmoose Music locations (for now), you can still order a copy online at cdbaby.com and planeside.com (soon...). Of course the band will also be selling copies of the new EP at all shows. A limited number of copies purchased at shows will include handwritten lyrics signed by the band.

Starting today, March 11th until this FRI. MAR. 14th - "Under the Circumstances, It's Not Such a Bad Idea" will be streaming in its entirety at www.myspace.com/planeside. As an added incentive, 'Stars', the first single to debut on Portland's WCYY 94.3, will be downloadable for FREE during this period!

Now go to www.myspace.com/planeside or the SHOWS page, we just posted a slew of tour dates!!

Hello! These are the last entries from our last tour...

4.02 - Tonight we werein Clearwater, FL at the Gasoline Alley. The night started off great!..Mike, the promoter, fed us spighetti and meatballs until it was coming out of our ears. It was a wonder that we were able to move on stage afterwards...then at the end of the night, he even went and gave ken some medication for his gout...what a great guy! We took the stage at midnight and played until our instruments could play no more...goodtimes...props to Josh from up north for ditching his grandma to come see the show!
4.03 - Back in Atlanta! The show was at The Vinyl, a cool club attached to the Earthlink Live Center. We spent the three hours before we played eating, smoking, and singing songs from the new Descendents album..."yadda yadda ya" Then to our surprise, Dave, the former drummer for In Itself (initself.com) shows up to catch our set!...it made the final night of the tour fantastic..."top notch, top notch"
The Loft- We have tickets available for the show at The Loft on April 30th. For purchases or questions, e-mail us

In other news, our CDs are now being distributed nationally through CHOKE distribution. You can now pick us up at ANY retail record store. If they don't stock it, tell them to order it from CHOKE!

GET GRILLED WITH PLANESIDE!! ...The first person to purchase a copy of For Motion Discomfort before April 20th will receive a free Planeside Prize Pack including a demo version of the song, Grilder from the upcoming MILK release...Must verify purchase with receipt.

3.19 - Tonight we were in Jacksonville, FL. at the Art Bar. Jacksonville was a lot of fun...we pigged out on some bar-B-que before the show, took a tour of our friend Jeff's art gallery, and had a blast playing some songs we don't ussually play...if you weren't there you missed one hell of a show!
3.20 - Tonight we played at the Surf Cafe in Boca Raton, FL. It was such a great time! It was a multi-band showcase so we got to see a bunch of bands play throughout the night. One of our favorite bands was 2 Story Double Wide. These guys took the stage and made it there own with their brand of country fueled rock-n-roll...What a nice change...We will hopefully be seeing these guys again really soon. Tonight was extra special because the crowd was filled with a bunch of old friends. Big shout out to Bill Raymond, Adam Cremona and KingSIZE's own Justin Johnson!
3.22 - Today was a day off but we had to drop our manager, Matt, off at the airpoprt...you see, originally, Matt was only suppossed to stay out with us for 2 days...somehow it turned into 12...Guess he had too much fun with us! We then hit the road towards Atlanta.
3.23 -WREK live performance!! After getting lost around Atlanta for only a short while, we made it to the radio staion and set up for a live on-air performance...we played what was almost an hour set...wanna check it out? Go to wrek.org and listen to the set...it will only be up for another week so you gotta act fast...thanks to everyone at the station for their support.
3.24 - Back at our favorite little club in Birmingham, AL. We love this place! It gave us a chance to try some new songs out in front of some good friends...special thanks to Amber from Z1005 and to Mark and Drew from 107X for making it out to the show!
3.25 - Well tonight we shared the stage Caustic at the Backporch in Tuscaloosa, AL. It was a wild night after Univ. of Alabama won the basketball game...Thanks to Monk and Sarah from Z1005 for making it to the show..We partied all night and into the day with Lucifer himself (actually our friend Mike Compton) He is a crazy, crazy man and we love him..."Compton, quit makin' deals"..."HHH-What!!"
3.26 - Pensacola, FL. Ok, so we drove to the show from Tuscaloosa on 2 hours sleep...when we arrived at the club we met up with our good friends Danielle and Ryan to have some Pabst Blue Ribbon beers to wash the hangovers away. Special thanks to them for the fireworks. It all seemed to work just fine. We took the stage after a great band called Cockfight. These guys were awesome...Ethan, the singer looks like Jack Black and sounds like Jello Biaffra. Check them out at cockfightband.com you won't be let down. After us was Holdin Red...these guys claimed they were really drunk before taking the stage but they surely fooled us...another great band.

3.27 -While speeding in our van towards Miami, Dave was pulled over for driving 82mph in a 55. We eventually got to Churchill's in Miami...holy shit it looked like Grand Theft Auto! The venue was packed! We met up with our friends, Eat Your Neighbors and 2 Story Double Wide...both played amazing sets! Miami is awesome!!
3.28 -One more crazy night at Churchill's in Miami! Thanks to everyone for making it a great time. Props to Middle Class Chaos!
3.29 -This was a driving day heading to Nashville, Tennessee. While on our way Craig was pulled over for speeding...i guess we can only blame the V10 engine in the van.
3.30 -Tonight we played the Muse in Nashville...Great room! We played with a bunch of really good bands. The club was "raining girls, hallelujah" Can't wait to go back!!

3.11 - MD - Word is that the Vault, the club we played at, used to be a bank. High ceilngs, a ghost of a former security officer, and a hot bartender!... Thanx to the guys from Eat Your Neighbors for taking care of us and introducing us to the Family Guy...

3.12 - OH - No one rocks like Springfield, OH!!! Thanx to everyone...Foley, Carrie, Julie, The Jones, and Jeff Malone. It was good to get back and see some old friends.

3.14 - Today we have another day off in Chicago. Tour has been great so far. We have shared the stage with some really cool bands and met some really cool people. The van has acquired a unique smell of old french fries, perspiration and flatulation...eeeeeew
3.15 - Tonight we were in St. Louis. The Creepy Crawl is a really cool room with a great vibe. We shared the stage with an amazing band called, Death From Above. Keep your eye out for these guys...truly amazing!
3.16 - Oh my God!...we hit blizzard-like conditions while driving to Cleveland from St. Louis...made for a really slow and stressful drive. We played at a club called Peabody's. The room was really cool. It had 2 floors and 2 stages...Being that it was Dave's birthday, it only made for a wild night of partying and debauchery after the show! Thanks to all the people who made it out despite the horrible weather!

Goodbye Rhinecliff Hotel... We we're pretty bummed out to learn that our show last Friday at The Rhinecliff Hotel will be our last. the Historic Rhinecliff Hotel will close it's doors permanently on Sun. June 29th. Built in the 1800's, Hotel Rhinecliff was once a Brothel and saw such upcoming bands as Phish, Blues Traveler, Natalie Merchant, MOE and even Miles Davis! President Lincoln's Funeral Procession stopped at the Hotel for fresh sheets for the President's contaminated coffin! (Pretty gross, we know...) A truly special place that we're gonna miss...
